Tuco To Do

Below is a list of things I want to be sure Tuco experiences during his childhood (in no significant order). If you need more of a description about what this list is about, click here.

-The Wizard of Oz, The Muppet Movie, Mary Poppins

-Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Back to the Future, Teen Wolf

-Ice cream sundaes in little plastic baseball helmets.

-Fund a Kiva project. Pick a person/business, contribute a loan, follow that person’s progress, and learn about the country where that person lives.

-Christmases that include watching A Christmas Story and repeated listenings of  John Denver & The Muppets’  A Christmas Together.

-The Jackson 5 – Music and the cartoons.

-Volunteer.

-Cubs games at Wrigley Field. Fire games at Toyota Park.

The Grand Canyon.

-Regular kite flying.

-See movies at the Tivoli Theatre.

Jesse White Tumblers.

-International travel before high school is over.

-The deliciousness of Indian food. And Thai food. And especially Ethiopian food.

-Show Tuco the woman’s face that shows through the paint of The Old Guitarist at the Art Institute of Chicago.

-Meteor showers. And a starry night in New Mexico. Maybe even a meteor shower in New Mexico.

-Create a time capsule for the first 10 years of his life. Give it to him at a significant time when he’s an adult.

-Smell the sulfur and see the amazing geological formations of Yellowstone, as well as bison in their real habitat, in Yellowstone. (Thanks for the recommendation, Kate.)
